Learn how to prepare for a new term with automated rostering in the Administrator Portal
Note: The following steps must be completed in the Administrator Portal
Important: If you are using a District Level account, you must complete this process for every school in the district. Learn how to switch to different schools here:
Revoking Content from Classes & Users
Tip: If content is revoked from a class, it will also be revoked from all students and teachers within the class. The fastest way to revoke content is with the Bulk Revoke Content tool.

Moving Students to New Classes
To move students to new classes, updated roster data must be sent over. First update and send the new roster from your chosen rostering platform. Next, start the sync and wait for data to sync. You can check the sync status within the Administrator Portal. Finally, confirm new classes and users have been added before moving on to the next step.
Guides for Syncing Rosters:
➜ Start Sync
➜ Checking Sync Status
➜ Selective Sync
Tip: If you have chosen ClassLink, OneRoster API, OneRoster SFTP, or PowerSchool Universal Rostering Plugin as your rostering method, you can use the Selective Sync tool to select which schools and classes are synced to the Administrator Portal.
Important: To ensure data privacy, we have entrusted rostering to schools and districts. This allows them to have complete control over their accounts and ensures the security of their data.
Distributing Content
Once students have been moved to their new classes, content can be distributed to them. If content was previously distributed to a class, then content will automatically be assigned to the student when they are added to the class.
