Dynamic Question Bank (DQB)

How to create exams or assignments using the Dynamic Question Bank (DQB) feature in the reader

Note: The Dynamic Question Bank can only be accessed in the Teacher Guide, Teacher Resource Package, or Teacher Edition textbooks when logged into a Teacher Account.

Not all collections have DQBs, if the page does not load after the DQB icon is clicked, there is not an active DQB for that book.

1. Login to a Teacher account and open a Teacher Guide, Teacher Resource Package, or Student Edition book in the Reader

 

2. Click the DQB icon from the top menukb_gseo_dqb_01

 

3. Select a Question Type from the left-hand panel to view questiionskb_go_dqb_02

 

4. Within a question type category, click the checkbox next to the questions you would like to add to your assessment then click Save

Important: Don't forget to save your selections by clicking Save in the bottom right

• Click a the checkbox again to Deselect it

Click the checkbox at the top of the category to Select All

• Click Reset to clear selections

5. If you would like to add questions from another question type category, select the category from the menu and the questions within the category you would like to add to your assessment and select additional questions

Important: Don't forget to Save your selections by clicking Save in the bottom right

6. When you have finished making your question selections, click Next in the bottom right corner of the pagekb_go_dqb_05

 

7. In the Related Details section, fill in the School / Teacher / Class and the Practice / Assessment Name fields

Optional: Click Select Image to upload an image which will appear at the top of the assessment

8. Once you have finished filling in your details, click Save then Next to continue

Tip: Click Reset to clear all inputs

9. In the Preview section, you can preview your assessment

• Click Student Copy to view the student version

• Click Teacher Copy to view the teacher version complete with answers

10. If you need to edit your assessment, click Edit Revision Paperkb_go_dqb_09

 

11. Once you have reviewed your assessment, click Submit to continuekb_go_dqb_10

 

12. In the Download section, select the Document Type and Download Type you would like to generate

Tip: If you check the box next to Random then 3 versions of the assessment with questions in a random order will be generated

13. Click Download to download the assessment in the selected format or click Print to print the assessmentkb_go_dqb_12

 

14. Click Edit Revision Paper to edit your assessmentkb_go_dqb_13

 

15. If you have created other assessments and would like to preview or edit them, click the Paper View icon in the top right corner of the pagekb_go_dqb_14

 

16. Locate your created assessments from the list or by using the search featurekb_go_dqb_15

 

17. Click the Preview icon under Update to preview, download, or print the assessmentkb_go_dqb_16

 

18. Click the Delete icon under Delete to permanently delete the assessmentkb_go_dqb_17

 

19. Click Create Revision Paper to create a new assessmentkb_go_dqb_18

 

20. Click the Back arrow to return to the previous pagekb_go_dqb_19

 

21. Click the Home icon to create a new assessmentkb_go_dqb_20
