Navigating Your Assignment
This article explains how to complete an assignment in GSE Bookshelf+ during the 2026–2027 school year.
Note: During the 2026–2027 school year, students will use the Annotation tools to answer questions and complete assignments. Interactive question types (such as multiple choice, drag-and-drop, and text-entry fields) will be introduced beginning with the 2027–2028 school year.
Getting Started
- Log in to your GSE Bookshelf+ account.
- On the main page, locate your assignment.
- Click Start.
Navigating Your Assignment
- Click Next at the bottom of the screen to move to the next page.
- To jump to another page, click Go To and select the page you want to view.
Completing Your Assignment
For the 2026–2027 school year, answer questions using the Annotation tools.
You can:
- Add text using text annotations.
- Highlight important information.
- Add notes or comments as directed by your teacher.
- Draw or mark directly on the page when needed.
Your work is saved within the assignment and can be viewed by your teacher at any time.
Note: You do not need to submit your assignment for your teacher to view your work. Teachers can review your annotations and responses while you are still working.
Reviewing Your Work
Before leaving the assignment:
- Review each page to make sure you've completed all required questions.
- Verify that your annotations, highlights, and notes appear where you intended.
Submitting Your Assignment
You only need to submit your assignment if your teacher asks you to.
Important: Once an assignment has been submitted, you will no longer be able to access or continue working on it.
Tips for Success
- Read all instructions before you begin.
- Use the Annotation tools to record your answers.
- Review your work before submitting, if submission is required by your teacher.
